Changes in Our Development Team
On Wednesday we announced some changes in our influential Next Economy Partnership Project. Today we announce some changes in our development team.
We are pleased to announce the addition of Seth Beer and Alex Easdale. Between them they have many years of experience in the non-profit and foundation world, bringing on specific capacity to help the New Policy Institute build on what has been a very good year. Washington-based Seth comes to NDN and NPI from Democracia USA, and will be building on 6 years of political campaign experience, mainly in the Southwest. Miami-based Alex is the Co-Founder of Alliance Consulting International, which specializes in socially-responsible foundation fundraising and development.
Additionally, my able assistant, Julia Gill, will be taking on a more public and visible role in working with our network of supporters across the country. She brings development and fundraising experience from her time working in her home state of Florida, and will be a valuable asset to an already strong team.
Later this month, our development director, Jenna Narayanan, will head off on maternity leave, as she is expecting her first child in just a few weeks. The changes outlined above will help make up for her strong presence and skill in her brief absence.
Finally, our DC Membership Director, Patrice Snow, has departed NDN for an exciting new opportunity at a start up political venture, GoVote.com. Expect to hear more about this promising project in the months ahead. Patrice brought a lot to the NDN team – savvy, drive, and a powerful network – and she will be missed. But it is hard for our entrepreneurial organization to ever begrudge a young talented team member taking a chance on a promising start up - it is our favorite way to see someone leave our team.
