SF City Officials & Leaders to Attend "9500 Liberty" Premiere

We're just one day away from the San Francisco Premiere of 9500 Liberty!

You may already have heard that Markos Moulitas, Founder of Daily Kos, will be introducing the film. To sweeten the deal, we can now confirm that a number of local officials and leaders will be joining the filmmakers tomorrow night! To name a few: Michael Yaki, Attorney for US Commission on Civil Rights, President of SF Board of Supervisors David Chiu, District 1 Supervisor Eric Mar, and District 9 Supervisor David Campos will also join a discussion with the filmmakers.

If you haven't bought your ticket yet to this must-see documentary you can do so here.

We hope to see you tomorrow night at the Sundance Kabuki!

Bay Area Premiere of 9500 Liberty

Helloooo San Francisco! Are you reading...?

NDN is co-hosting a very special event for all you folks in the Bay Area. The award winning documentary 9500 Liberty will be premiering at the Sundance Kabuki Theatre next Thursday, October 29th!

Now for those who haven't heard about the narrative of 9500 here's some scoop: 9500 Liberty is a compelling new documentary about a community's struggle to manage their changing population in a climate of fear, racial tension, and exploitation. The film documents how residents and advocacy groups on both sides used new media, technology and social networking to organize for the future of their community. 9500 Liberty provides a front-row seat to this battle, one that we will likely see repeated in the months to come as the immigration reform debate returns to the national spotlight.

So, with that said, I suggest you all make a night of this. VIP Cocktail reception starts at 6pm. Film starts at 7pm. (You can do both or just the film alone). Markos Moulitsas, Founder of Daily Kos, will introduce the film. Bring your significant other, your insignificant other, even go to stag! Either way, you just shouldn't miss this flick.
