Friday Feature: Immigration

Given that today is May Day (and also International Workers' Day), this week's Friday Feature will bring attention to the necessity and importance of immigration reform.  May Day marches in support of this effort are occurring across the country today, from Los Angeles to Orlando.  NDN has been a long-time supporter of this cause, and just yesterday, Simon was featured on the front page of the Huffington Post with an essay he wrote called "Making the Case: 7 Reasons Why Congress Should Pass Immigration Reform This Year." Today, we will feature a video excerpt from NDN's Forum on Immigration and Hispanics that includes Simon giving a spirited and convincing argument for this issue:

Back in February, we explored this issue in depth with some of the top immigration leaders in the country, including Janet Murguia, President of the National Council of La Raza (NCLR), Frank Sharry, Founder and Executive Director of America's Voice, and pollsters Pete Brodnitz of Benenson Strategy Group and Rick Johnson of Lake Research.  Click here for more information specifically on NDN's immigration efforts, including a poll showing compelling support for comprehensive immigration reform.
