NDN Political Fund Releases New "Mas Que Un Partido" TV Ad

Washington, D.C. - The NDN Political Fund today announced the release of the second ad of their pioneering "Mas Que un Partido" Spanish-language branding campaign. The ad, entitled "Es Tu Equipo" ("This Is Your Team"), highlights Democrats' desire to engage Hispanics in the political process and is part of a broader effort to bring progressive values - opportunity , responsibility, fair-play and the notion that we're all in this together - to life through the passion and power of the world's most popular sport, soccer.
"In a year where Hispanics have been given reason to wonder whether this country's governing party is on their side, this ad makes it clear that Democrats want Hispanics on their team," explained NDN Hispanic Strategy Center Director Joe Garcia.
The campaign, which is being conducted under the NDN Political Fund's Hispanic brand "Democratas Unidos," began Friday, June 9th and will continue for five months, on television, radio and the Internet. The radio campaign is national, reaching all regions and 70 markets, and is currently complemented by an extensive television campaign on the World Cup, focused on 6 states and 9 major markets - Albuquerque, Colorado Springs, Denver, El Paso, Las Vegas, Orlando, Phoenix, Tampa and Tucson.
Garcia and project advisor Maria Cardona will discuss the campaign at 4 PM tomorrow, June 22nd, at NDN's 2006 Annual Meeting. Service Employees International Union Executive Vice-President Eliseo Medina will also speak about the recent surge in Hispanic activism.
